a Setup.exe file and downloaded to your computer before
execution. This method is potentially more time consuming
the choosing a WebDeploy version but it
would be necessary if you wanted to download now but execute
the installation later. NOTE: If you are
asked whether to "Run or Save" the file after
it is selected, answer "Save".
WebDeploy indicates that
the installation is performed directly FROM the web
site and only those files found to be needed are downloaded.
Therefore, the Size column (if shown) indicates the
maximum size if every file in the package needed to
be installed. This is the recommended method if you
want to install at the same time you are downloading.
NOTE: If you are asked whether to "Run or
Save" the file after it is selected, answer "Run".
Zip File
indicates the package is a compressed file using the
Zip compression protocol. The file is self extracting
and no special software needs to be installed on your
machine.
Standard
indicates the package is a standard uncompressed ASCII
file which can be copied to your hard disk directly
with no installation step..
